Özet
Bu çalışma bir kentin marka olmasının gerekleri, boyutları ve bir kent markasının imajını incelemek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Tarihsel kökleri Hititlere kadar uzanan, farklı medeniyetler açısından büyük öneme sahip olan Sivas şehrinin tarihi ve kültürel dokusunu inceleyerek kent imajına dair bilgilerin incelendiği bu çalışmada nicel ve nitel veri toplama tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın nicel verileri Teodoro Lufue-Martı'nez ve arkadaşlarının geliştirmiş olduğu ve Selçuk, Sağlık, Serçeoğlu ve Üst tarafından yapılan araştırmada kullanılan şehir imajı ölçüm ölçeği aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Rastgele örneklem yöntemiyle farklı zamanlarda şehrin farklı bölgelerinde yüz yüze görüşme tekniğiyle anket uygulanmıştır. Nicel verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS paket programı kullanılarak sayı ve yüzdelik sonuçları, farklılık analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, Sivas ilinin kentsel imajı ve bu imajının oluşumu sürecinde, tarihi dokunun önemi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Nitel verilerin analizi sonucunda şehrin tarihi kültürel dokusunun imaja etkisinin olmasının yanı sıra, turizm, gastronomi, manevi kişiler, şehrin jeopolotik konumu, insanı, rekreasyon faaliyetlerinin de yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca önemli bir husus ise, bu çalışmanın ilk temelleri bu tez çalışmasından bağımsız olarak 2017 yılında, Sn. Prof. Dr. Erkan Sağlık Hocamızın destek ve teşvikleri ile atılmış ve ön çalışmaları ilk o zaman başlamıştır, o günden sonraki süreçte olgunlaşarak; bu araştırma ve tez çalışması ile taçlandırılmıştır. This study has been prepared to examine the requirements, dimensions and image of a city brand for a city to be a brand. Quantitative and qualitative data collection technique was used in this study, which examines the historical and cultural texture of the city of Sivas, which has historical roots dating back to the Hittites and has great importance for different civilizations, and examines the information about the city image. The quantitative data of the study were collected through the city image measurement scale developed by Teodoro Lufue-Martı'nez et al. With the random sampling method, a face-to-face interview technique was applied in different parts of the city at different times. In order to support the results of the quantitative data with qualitative data, the technique of face-to-face interviews with well-known names and opinion leaders of the city was used in the research. In the evaluation of quantitative data, number and percentage results and difference analyzes were performed using the SPSS package program. The results of the qualitative data are shown in detail in the conclusion part of the research. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the historical texture is important in the urban image of Sivas and the formation of this image. As a result of the analysis of the qualitative data, it has been determined that the historical cultural texture of the city has an effect on the image, as well as tourism, gastronomy, spiritual people, the geopolitical location of the city, its people, and recreational activities. In addition, an important point is that the first foundations of this study were established in 2017, independently of this thesis, by Mr. prof. Dr. It was started with the support and encouragement of our Professor Erkan Health, and its preliminary studies started at that time, maturing in the process after that day; this is crowned with research and dissertation work.
