Sport satisfaction and organizational commitment relation: A study on Turkish football coaches

The aim of this research is to determine whether the levels of organizational commitment and sports satisfaction of football coaches take charge in Turkish football leagues change in accordance with the variables of education level, the leagues taken charge within and income level and to analyze the relationship between organizational commitment and sports satisfaction. 216 football coaches take charge in amateur and professional leagues throughout Turkey are included in the research. Research data are obtained by using the scales of "Athlete Satisfaction Questionnaire" and "Organizational Commitment Questionnaire." In the statistical analyses of data, independent "t" test, one-way analysis of variance, Tukey test and correlation analysis are used. According to research results, there is a positive, meaningful relationship between organizational commitment and sports satisfaction. Considering education levels of football coaches, the leagues taken charge within and income level groups, there is a meaningful difference in the levels of sports satisfaction although there is not a meaningful difference in the levels of organizational commitment.
