İlköğretimde Çağdaş Fen Bilgisi Öğretiminin Önemi ve Nasıl Olması Gerektiği Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

Bu araştırmada fen eğitiminin tanımı yapılarak, ilköğretimde fen bilgisi öğretiminin önemi, gerekliliği, çocukların gelişimine sağladığı faydalar ve amaçları üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu amaçlara ulaşabilmek için çocukların gelişim dönemleri, öğretme-öğrenme stratejileri, öğretim programlan ve programın uygulayıcısı öğretmenler de dikkate alınarak çağdaş fen bilgisi öğretimi ve öğretmenleri nasıl olmalıdır sorusuna yanıt verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca teknolojinin hızla geliştiği ve değiştiği günümüzde fen ve teknoloji arasındaki ilişkiye değinilerek, insanların teknolojik gelişmeleri algılayıp yorumlayabilmesi için temel fen bilgisi eğitiminden geçirilmesinin gereğinden bahsedilmiş, etkili ve kalıcı bir fen öğretiminin nasıl olması gerektiği üzerinde durulmuştur. Sonuç olarak fen bilgisi eğitiminin genel amaçlarına ulaşmada çağdaş fen bilgisi öğretimi ve öğretmenlerinin nasıl olması gerektiği üzerine bir değerlendirme yapılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this article, the importance of science teaching at elementary schools, its facilities for children's growing up and its aims have been pointed out by describing science teaching. It has been tried to respond the question; that how science teaching and science teachers should be, by taking these things into consideration; for example children's growth periods, teaching-learning strategies, teaching programmes and their teachers, in order to reach these aims. However, it has been stated that people need the basic science education so that they can comprehend and comment on technologic changes by pointing out the relationship between science and technology at nowadays in which technology develops with an unbelievable speed. And how an effective and permanent science should be has been emphasized. It is concluded that an evaluation about how the contemporary science education and how its teachers should be, has been done and some advises have been given for reaching the general aims science teaching.
