Osmanlı kozmos tasavvuru ve iktisat -Felsefi bir yaklaşım-

Abstract

Kozmoloji felsefenin bir dalı olmaktan çıkmıştır. Sosyal bilimler de genellikle bu alandan uzak dururlar. Oysa insan kültürel bir varlıktır ve dünya görüşü de kültürün en önemli unsurlarından biridir. Dünya görüşüyle bağlantılı olarak her türlü kozmos tasavvuru da insan hayatının her safhasında varlığını daima hissettirecektir. Bu makale, iktisat gibi nicel ifadeye yatkın bir bilimin uğraştığı iktisadî hayat içerisinde kozmolojik düşüncenin yerini anlamaya yöneliktir. Tarihimizi bu konuda aydınlatma amacıyla Osmanlı toplumunun yüzyıllar boyunca geçirdiği dönüşümler, ana çizgileriyle gösterilmeye çalışılmaktadır.

Cosmology is no longer a branch of philosophy. Generally, social sciences stay away from this field too. However, the influence of this manner of thought still exists. Man is a cultural being and his world-view is one of the most important items of the culture. Every kind of concept of cosmos will make its existence felt in every stage of life with connection to the worldview. This paper attempts to understand cosmological thought within economic life which economics, a science apt to use quantitative expression, tries to investigate. With the aim of enlightening our history on this subject, the main lines of the transformations, which the Ottoman society underwent throughout centuries, are tried to be shown.
