Abstract

Two cases of dissecting aortic aneurysm which were 21 and 40 years old and whose autopsies were carried out with the cause of suspicious death, were evaluated. It was determined from the autopsies that the sudden death was caused by cardiac tamponade formed by intrapericardial bleeding as a result of ruptures in ascending aorta. It has been known that the major factor in dissecting aortic aneurysm is often psychological or physiological tension, due to the sudden increase in the blood pressure and 70% of these aneurysms are seen in the ascending aorta.
