ANALYSIS, DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AXIAL FLUX, PERMANENT MAGNET MACHINE TO BE USED IN A LOW POWER WIND GENERATOR
Abstract
Finite element analysis of an axial flux, permanent magnet, coreless stator, double rotor machine designed for a low power wind turbine application is presented. A real size model of the machine has been prepared by using Ansoft Maxwell, and electromagnetic analysis has been conducted. Induced stator voltages depending on the magnetic flux distribution and angular position of the rotors have been obtained for different operation speed and load conditions. Results have been compared with the experimental results obtained from the prototype machine.
