Cumhuriyet Dönemi Geleneksel Makam Müziğinin Gaziantep Mekânlarındaki İcra Pratikleri

Abstract

Geleneksel makam müziği tarihsel süreç içerisinde gelişerek ve değişerek günümüze kadar gelmiş, kendisine değişik icra ortamlarında yer edinmeyi başarmıştır. Bu çalışma, yüzlerce yıllık bir geçmişi olan bu müzik geleneğinin Cumhuriyet döneminden başlayarak günümüze kadarki süreçte Gaziantep’te nasıl şekillendiğini ve icra ortamlarındaki müzik pratiklerine nasıl yansıdığını irdelemektedir. Çalışma şehir merkezi ve kırsal bölge ayrımı yapılarak ele alınmıştır. Bu kapsamda ilk bölümde Geleneksel makam müziğinin müzikal unsurları tartışılmış ve makam, usül, çalgı, form, fasıl olmak üzere başlıklar halinde toplanmıştır. Devamında ise Gaziantep’in şehir müzik kültürü yapısı, şehir müzik kültürünün oluşmasındaki etmenler incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise Gaziantep’te tarihsel süreçte müzik geleneğinin var olduğu icra ortamları belirlenmiştir. Bu müzik kültürünün kendine yer edindiği özellikle gazinolardaki İkindi Sazı fasılları ve diğer ortamlardaki icra pratikleri ile günümüz icra pratikleri karşılaştırılmış, literatür ve kişisel görüşmelerle desteklenerek değişimler irdelenmiştir. Çalışmada literatür taraması ve kişisel görüşme yöntemleri kullanılmıştır.

Traditional maqam music has existed in the course of time by being improved and evolved and it has managed to get a foothold for itself in various performance environments. In this study it was addressed how music tradition, which has hundreds of years of past in the region, has been shaped in Gaziantep and how it has been reflected on the music performances in those environments since the Republic Period up until present. The study was carried out by focusing on the city center and rural areas separately. Within the scope of the study, in the first part the musical elements of maqam music tradition was studied and maqam method (usûl), the instruments of maqam music, the forms of maqam music and fasıl were gathered in different titles. And following that the structure of Gaziantep’s city music culture and the factors which formed that culture were analyzed. In the second part, The performing environment of maqam music tradition in Gaziantep in the historical continuum was indicated. By comparing the present-day performances and the ones in the old times in Gaziantep, especially the ones in the afternoon performances “İkindi Sazi” and through a literature search and interviews the changes were studied in a more detailed way. In the study literature search and interviews were used.
