In this study, 1,5-diketones were synthesized by adding of cyclohexanone to five different chalcone derivatives (1a-e) via the 1,4-Michael addition reaction. Antimicrobial activities of synthesized compounds were investigated by microdilution method against two gram negative (Klebsiella pneutnoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) two gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis) bacteria and one fungal strain (Candida albicans). Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 3a-e compounds were determined in the range of 62.5-250 mu g/mL.
