The story of wool fiber is as old as human civilization. People prefer to use this natural fiber in many areas such as clothing, furnishings, and carpets from the past to the present. Although wool fiber has limited production and high cost, it is preferred in technical textiles due to its unique properties such as UV resistance, flame retardancy, biodegradability, stain repellency, flexibility, thermal and sound insulation, odor and water absorption, durability, and breathability properties. The usage area of wool fiber in technical textiles is increasing day by day, and new usage areas are being researched. Meditech, Buildtech, and Sportech are some of the usage areas of wool fiber in technical textiles. In this section, we will talk about the reasons, limitations, and advantages of using wool fiber in technical textiles.tr
