Türkiye'de kadına yönelik ekonomik şiddet

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, insanlıkla birlikte başlayan ve her zaman kendini farklı biçimlerde vareden şiddet olgusuna değinilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda şiddet kavramı dar ve geniş çerçevede tanımlanmış, şiddet türlerine özellikle de ekonomik şiddete (aile içinde ve dışında) yer verilerek, şiddetin nedenlerine, sonuçlarına, şiddeti uygulayan ve maruz kalanların toplumdaki konumlarına açıklık getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çok eski bir olgu olduğuna dikkat çektiğimiz şiddetin en çok kadınlara uygulandığını ortaya koyan araştırmalar, bu durumun ise toplumsal yapının özelliklerinden (sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik vb) kaynaklandığını ileri sürmüşlerdir. Toplumsal yapıdaki egemen eril ideolojilerin, bu durumu içselleştirip, varlığını sürdürdüğünü belirten çalışmalar, kadının bu durumunu kadının yoksunlaşması ya da yoksullaştırılması olarak da ifade etmişlerdir.

This article focuses on the fact of violence that emerged with the history of humankind and has always regenerated itself in various forms. In this context, this paper defines the concept of violence in both narrow and wider respects; mentions the kinds of violence, emphasizes especially the economical violence and tries to explain the reasons and results of this phenomenon and clarify the positions of both who engages in violence and who are exposed to it. Researches indicating that the ones exposed to violence at most are women claim that this situation had its sources in characteristics of social structures (such as socio-cultural, economic etc.). Studies that define dominant masculine ideologies as an agent which both internalize and sustain this situation describe this condition as women‟s deprivation or the process in which they are rendered as poor.
