Performansa Dayalı Tekniklerle Yürütülen Biçimlendirmeye Yönelik Değerlendirme Sürecinin Öğrencilerin Hedef Yönelimlerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada performansa dayalı tekniklerle yürütülen biçimlendirmeye yönelik değerlendirme sürecinin, öğrencilerin sahip oldukları hedef yönelimleri üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada karma yöntem esas alınmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel bölümünde deney, plasebo ve kontrol gruplu ön test son test yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel bölümünde ise durum çalışması esas alınmıştır. Deneysel desenin çalışma grubunu 80 [Deney (n=26), Plasebo (n=27) ve Kontrol (n=27)] 7. sınıf öğrencisi oluştururken, durum çalışmasının çalışma grubunu ise deney grubunda yer alan dokuz öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın nicel boyutunda veriler "Hedef Yönelimi Ölçeği" ile toplanırken nitel boyutunda ise görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde; "ANCOVA","Bağımlı Örneklem t-testi" ve "Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar Testi" kullanılırken, nitel verilerin analizinde ise betimsel analiz ve kategorisel içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda performansa dayalı tekniklerle yürütülen biçimlendirmeye yönelik değerlendirme sürecinin öğrencilerin sahip oldukları hedef yönelimleri üzerinde kısmen etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre deneysel işlem süreci sonunda öğrencilerin öğrenme-yaklaşma yönelimine daha çok sahip oldukları ve performans-yaklaşma yönelimine sahip olma düzeylerinin ise düştüğü belirlenmiştir. Ancak öğrencilerin öğrenme-kaçınma ve performanskaçınma yönelimlerine sahip olma düzeylerinde ise anlamlı bir farklılık meydana gelmediği tespit edilmiştir.

This study aims to analyze the effect of the formative assessment process that is implemented through the use of performance-based assessment techniques on students' achievement goal orientations. For this purpose, a mixed methods approach has been adopted. In the quantitative part of the research, a pre-test post-test quasiexperimental design have been used on experimental, placebo, and control groups. In the qualitative part of the study, a case study has been the main part. While the study group of the experimental design [Experimental (n=26), Placebo (n=27) and Control (n=27)] consists of 80 Seventh grade students, the study group of the case study consists of nine students and a teacher that has taken part in the practice. Qualitative data of the research has been collected through interview forms. While "ANCOVA", "Paired Sample t-Test" and "Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test" have been used in the analysis of quantitative data, descriptive analysis and categorical content analysis techniques have been used in the analysis of qualitative data. The results of the study confirm that formative assessment process that is implemented through the use of performance-based assessment techniques has been partially effective on achievement goal orientations of the students.
