We started this article, in which we try to examine the educational power of respect for human dignity, by dwelling on the meaning of the concept of honour. As what Bacanlı (2006) said, schools and curriculums cannot obtain the expected results by only giving information, they must also teach to love getting the information. One of the goals of general education and religious education in Turkey is to raise a moral and virtuous generation who internalized all values. The realization of these characteristics by only cognitive level is not possible. Exaltation of love, respect and human dignity should be used as a method and taught by implementation. Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge is the primary lesson that will contribute on this topic. As stated by Tosun (2011), religious education is the core of the education. It must be the main purpose to create awareness for students about their value. It is impossible to learn, teach and internalize the values for students who consider themselves worthless and unsuccessful. Human dignity doesn't become a current issue in our country until it is specified as the main theme of the Blissful Mawlid Week in 2013 (a week-long celebration of the Prophet's birthday).en_US
