Karl R. Popper’da Norm ve Kaynağı Meselesi

Abstract

Karl R. Popper’e göre doğa, yasa, tabiat ve norm kavramları çoğu zaman birbirinin yerine kullanılmakta ve bu da zaman zaman kavram karışıklığına sebep olmaktadır. Popper bu karışık kullanıma itiraz etmektedir; çünkü ona göre doğa / tabiat gibi kavramlar doğal düzen ve işleyişe karşılık gelmekte, norm ya da normatiflik ise daha çok insan iradesi ve kararlarının içinde yer aldığı bir alanı işaret etmektedir. Esasında, Popper’e göre, doğadan gelen şey bile insan düşüncesine, kararına ve tartışmasına konu olabilmektedir. Bu çerçevede Kant’ın “kuramlarımız özgür aklın eseridir, biz de bunları doğaya dikte ederiz.” görüşünden ve Sokrates’in eleştirel tutumundan destek alarak norm ve normatiflik üzerine bir tartışma yürütmektedir. Biz bu araştırmamız da Popper’ın genel düşüncesi içerisinde önemli bir yer tutan, “norm ve kaynağı meselesi” ni ele alıp tartışacağız.

According to Karl R. Popper, the concepts of nature, law and norm are often used interchangeably and this in turn leads to conceptual confusion from time to time. He opposes to this confusion of use since in his opinion concepts such as nature correspond to the natural order and process; and norm or normativity, on the other hand, indicates a domain including human will and decisions to a greater extent. Essentially, according to Popper, even things emanating from nature can be subjects of human thought, decisions and arguments. From this perspective, he pursues argumentation over norm and normativity with reference to Kant’s view that “our concepts are works of the free mind, and we dictate these to nature.” and to Socrates’ critical attitude. In this work, we will address and discuss “the issue of norm and its source”, which occupies an important place in Popper’s general thought.
