The effect of the amount of soldering wire on fatigue strength in joining steels and sockets
Özet
In the present study, natural stone cutting sockets and DIN 2391 steel materials were joined by the induction soldering method. The soldering wire, which has a significant effect on the joint quality and production costs, is used in different amounts in the joining processes. The cutting sockets work in very different environments and under different loads due to the nature of cutting processes. The said working conditions directly affect the fatigue strength of the cutting end and the joint zone. Thus, the fatigue strength of the prepared samples at the joint zone was measured. The effects of the soldering wire amount on the microstructure and joint quality were determined. As a result of the examinations; it was determined that the increase in the amount of the soldering wire was effective in increasing the fatigue life at the joint zone and the mechanical properties up to a certain value. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd
