dc.description.abstractHz. Ali’ye nisbet edilen hitabe, mektup, nasihat, şiir ve vecizelerin tercümelerine sadece el yazması hâlinde kalmış ve Arap harfleriyle basılmış Türkçe eserlerde değil, Arap harfli Türkçe süreli yayınlarda da zaman zaman rastlanmaktadır. “Bahriye Mektupçusu Hâlis”in 1313 (M. 1895) yılında Tercümân-ı Hakîkat ve Musavver Servet-i Fünûn gazeteleri tarafından ortaklaşa bastırılmış fevkalâde nüshada yer alan “nesâyih-i celîle” (büyük nasihatlar) tercümesi de bu tür metinlerden biridir. Hâlis Efendi, Hz. Ali’nin oğlu Muhammed b. Hanefiyye’ye (ö. 81/700) dinî, ahlaki ve sosyal konularda verdiği birtakım öğütleri tercüme etmiştir. Bu çalışmada ilkin Türk Edebiyatı tarihinde yer tutan nasihatname türündeki eserlerden söz açılıp umumi bir bakışla bahsedilmiş; onu takiben mütercim Hâlis Efendi’nin hüviyeti araştırılıp Sultan II. Abdülhamid’in Hazîne-i Hâssa’sının tahrîrât kalemi müdürü (1901-1908 yıllarında Hazîne-i Hâssa müsteşarı) olduğu izah edildikten sonra hayatı ve çevirdiği nasihatlerin özü, kaynağı, sahihliği hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Nehcü’l-belâga’da da bulunan bu öğütlerin İslam esaslarına ve Hz. Ali’nin şahsiyetine uygun olduğu görülmektedir. Nihai olarak söz konusu metin Latin harflerine ve günümüz Türkçesine çevrilerek okuyucuların istifadesine arz edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractIn the history of Turkish literature, which developed under the influence of Islamic culture, it is known to those who are interested that moral works constitute a large number of works and that some of these works constitute nasihatnamas. From the first known works of Islamic Turkish literature such as Kutadgu Bilig, Atebetü'l-hakāyık and Dîvân-ı Hikmet, readers were given advice on religious, moral, political and social issues; in the following centuries, works were written or translated with the aim of giving advice and recommendations to the interlocutors. Scholars, poets and writers, as a requirement of the Qur'anic obligation to enjoin goodness and prevent evil, have tried to inculcate behaviors that are known to be good by reason and religion, and to prevent people from certain evil acts. For example, in the Qur'an, the Prophets Abraham and Ya'qub bequeathed this religion to their sons, saying, “My sons, Allah has chosen this religion for you. So die only as believers who have surrendered to Him!” Thus, it is reported that they gave vital advice and testament on matters such as the path to be followed and death. It is also narrated that Lokmân, one of the righteous people who was given wisdom, advised his son about belief in Allah, that deeds are not lost and are known by the Creator, praying, commanding good and forbidding evil, being patient in the face of calamities, and avoiding arrogance and boasting.
