Dorzolamidin göziçi basıncına etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada topikal karbonik anhidraz inhibitörü olan %2 'lik dorzolamidin Göziçi basıncı (GİB) üzerine olan etkisi plasebo kontrollü olarak araştırıldı. Çalışmaya GİB en az 22mmHg ve üzerinde olan 28 primer açık açılı glokomlu hasta alındı. Çalışma öncesi bazal 12 saatlik diurnal GİB ölçümler yapıldıktan sonra, günde 3 kez Dorzolamid veya plasebo 5 gün süre ile uygulandı. Çalışmanın 1. ve 5. günü 12 saatlik diurnal GİB'ları ölçüldü. GİB'da maksimum azalma çalışmanın 1. gününde %23.3, 5. günde ise %22.9 olarak bulundu. Bu değerler plasehoda sırasıyla %1.2 ve %8.9 idi. Aradaki bu fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı idi(p<0.01). Sonuç olarak günde 3 kez uygulanan %2'lik dorzolamidin glokom tedavisinde GİB düşürmede yeni bir seçenek olduğu düşünüldü.

The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, dorzolamide hydrochloride, on intraocular pressure (IOP) with plasebo control. Twenty eight patients with primary open-angle glaucoma whose IOP greater than 22mmHg were included in the study. Before beginning the study diurnal IOP curves were obtained and then three times daily, for 5 days Dorzolamide or plasebo was administrated. On the first and fifth day diurnal IOP measured. It was found that maximum decreases of IOP were 23.3% on the first day, 22.9% on the 5th day. The results for plasebo were 1.3% and 8.9% respectively. The differences were statistically significant(p&lt;0.01). As a result, the use of 2% dorzolamide three times a day could decrease IOP and it could be used in the treatment of glaucoma.
