Bedensel hastalıkla birlikte depresyonu olan hastalara hemşirelerin yaklaşımlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırma genel tıp alanında bedensel hastalıkla birlikte depresyonu olan bireylere hemşirelerin yaklaşımlarını belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi 'nde yatarak tedavi gören 30 hasta ve bu hastalara bakım veren 40 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada "Beck Depresyon Ölçeği" ile araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen "Hemşire Gözlem Formu" ve "Depresyon Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından vapılan gözlem, görüşme ve anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonunda hastaların doğrudan hemşirelik bakımı kapsamına giren yoğun depresif belirtiler gösterdikleri, hemşirelerin ise uygulama sırasında depresyonu olan hastalarla sıklıkla karşılaştıklarını belirtmelerine karşın yarısının hastaların depresyonunun farkında olmadığı ve hemşirelerin hiçbirinin bu konuda hastalara yardımcı olamadığı bulunmuştur.

This research has been carried out as a descriptive study and the purpose was to examine nurses' approaches to the individuals who had depression associated with other physical diseases. The research was performed in the University of Cumhuriyet Research and Practice Hospital and the population of the study was 40 nurses and 30 patients under their care. in the study "Beck Depression Inventory", "Nursing Observation Form", developed by the researchers, and "Depression Information Form" were used to collect analyse the data. Data were optioned by researchers using observation, interview and questionnaire techniques. it was found that all the patients had severe depressive symptoms and during their clinical practice nurses frequently encountered with patients who has depression. However half of the nurses were not aware of the depressive symptoms of the patients and none of them had any nursing intervention or approaches to this patients.
