Effects of barrier thickness and external magnetic field strength on confined electronic states in a cylindrical quantum wire structure
Abstract
The energy levels of an electron confined in a quantum wire structure under an externally applied magnetic field are solved analytically and the numerical results are discussed. The major characteristics of the electronic energy spectra and the charge density distribution dependency on the barrier thickness and the magnetic field strength are also discussed.
