dc.description.abstractWe report the case of an 18-year-old, mentally retarded boy who suffered acute abdominal symptoms and signs after eating a heavy meal. Laparotomy showed massive gastric dilatation with near-total infarction and perforation. Total gastrectomy and esophagojejunostomy were performed, but the patient died a few hours after the operation.en_US
