Eğerci beldesi erişkin nüfusunda bruselloz seropozitifliği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de oldukça yaygın olarak görülen bruselloz infeksiyonunun yaygınlığını, Sivas ili Eğerci Beldesi erişkin nüfusunda araştırmak idi. ELISA ile yapılan serolojik tarama sonucunda 182 kişiden 17'sinde (%9.3) seropozitiflik saptandı. Seropozitiflik oranı kadınlarda %5.1, erkeklerde %12.5 olarak bulundu. En yüksek oranda seropozitiflik 20 yaş altı (%16.7) ve 30-39 yaş (%14.8) gruplarındaydı. Seropozitif bulunan olguların tamamının hayvancılıkla uğraşıyor olması, brusellozun buluşmasında hayvanlarla yakın temasın önemini ortaya koymuştur.

The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of brucellosis, widely seen in Turkey, in the adult population of Eğerci District of Sivas Province. For serologic screening ELISA was used. Of 182 adults 17 (9.3%) were found seropositive. The rate of seropositivity in women and in men were 5.1% and 12.5%, respectively. As to age groups, the highest rates of seropositivity were seen under 20 (16.7%) and 30-39 (14.8%) years of age. All seropositive subjects were in close contact with sheep and/or cattle. The study shows the importance of animals in the transmission of brucellosis.
