C.Ü.H.Y.O. öğrencilerinin HBV ve HCV enfeksiyonlarından korunmaya ilişkin bilgi ve uygulamalarının saptanması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, C.Ü. Hemşirelik Yüksekokulu ikinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin HBV ve HCV enfeksiyonlarından korunmaya ilişkin bilgi ve uygulamalarının saptanması, bilgi ve uygulamaları etkileyen faktörlerin değerlendirilmesi, bilgi gereksinimlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Veriler toplam 142 öğrenciden, 43 sorudan oluşan görüşme formu ile elde edilmiştir. Çalışmada, öğrencilerin kan yoluyla bulaşan viral hepatitlerden korunmaya ilişkin bilgi ve uygulama puan ortalamalarının düşük olduğu, sınıflar arasında bilgi ve uygulama puan farklarının istatistiksel olarak önemli olduğu belirlenmiş, viral hepatitlerle ilgili geleceğin sağlık bakım çalışanları olan öğrenci hemşirelere yeterli bilgi, beceri ve tutum kazandıracak kapsam, süre ve nitelikte eğitim verilmesinin önemi vurgulanmıştır.

in this study, the aim is to determine knowledge and practice of second and fourth year students about protection from HBV and HCV, to evaluate factors effecting the knowledge and practice and to determine and compare need of knowledge between classes. Data is generated applying a questionnaire comprising 43 questions to 142 students. The results have showed that the mean scores for the students about their knowledge and practice on protection from viral hepatitis was below expected scores and the differences between clas-ses were statistically signifıcant (p<0.05) . The results also suggest that nursing education may be revised in content, time period and quality in order to enrich knowledge, expertise and approach of students about how to protect themselves from viral hepatitis.
