Yara örneklerinden soyutlanan Staphylococcus aureus kökenlerinin glikopeptit antibiyotiklere duyarlılığı

Abstract

Glikopeptit antibiyotiklerin Staphylococcus aureus'a etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yara örneklerinden soyutlanan 120 S. aureus kökeninin in vitro olarak metisiline duyarlılığı ve glikopeptit antibiyotiklere duyarlılığı, sırasıyla, agar tarama ve NCCLS önerileri doğrultusunda mikrodilüsyon yöntemi ile araştırılmıştır. S. aureus kökenlerinin 77'si (% 64) metisiline dirençli bulunmuştur. Metisiline duyarlı ve dirençli kökenlerin hiçbirinde vankomisin ve teikoplanine direnç saptanmamıştır. Sonuç olarak, glikopeptit antibiyotiklerin metisiline dirençli ve duyarlı stafilokokların neden olduğu infeksiyonların tedavisinde güvenilir bir seçenek olma konumunu korudukları görülmüştür.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of glycopeptide antibiotics on Staphylococcus aureus. The in vitro susceptibilitiy of 120 S. aureus strains isolated from wound specimens to methicillin and glycopeptide antibiotics was investigated by agar screen plate and microdilution method according to NCCLS criteria, respectively. Of S. Aureus strains tested, 77 (64 %) were found to be methicillin resistant. None of the strains were found to be resistant to vancomycin and teicoplanin. In conclusion, glycopeptide antibiotics can be used as reliable alternative antibiotics for the treatment of infections caused by methicilline resistant and susceptible S. aureus strains.
