Latanoprosta bağlı anterior üveit

Abstract

Bu çalışmada latanoprost kullanımı ile gelişen anterior üveitli iki hasta sunuldu. Hastalardan biri Fuchs heterokromik iridosiklite bağlı sekonder glokomlu, diğeri ise kapsüler glokomlu idi. Her iki hastada da latanoprost kullanmaya başladıktan sonraki ilk kontrolünde unilateral anterior üveit tespit edildi. İlaç kesildikten sonra, topikal steroid tedavisi ile üveit düzeldi. Sonuç olarak bu iki olgu latanoprost ve üveit gelişimi arasında ilişki olabileceğini gösterdi. Bu nedenle üveit hikayesi olanlarda latanoprost kullanırken dikkatli olmalıyız.

Two patients with anterior uveitis associated with the use of latanoprost are reported in this study. One of the patient had secondary glaucoma due to Fuchs' heterochromic iridocyclitis and the other had capsullary glaucoma. After beginning latanoprost, unilateral anterior uveitis developed in the first control of both patients. After discontinuing the drug and applying topical steroid, uveitis resolved. As a result, these two cases showed that there may be a possible association between latanoprost and uveitis. Thus, we must be careful while using latanoprost in a patient with a history of uveitis.
