Söke çevresi (Aydın) Geç Erken Miyosen ve Kuvaterner yaşlı küçük memelileri: Ön sonuçlar

Abstract

Söke çevresinde Geç Senozoyik çökelleri Söke, Dededağ ve Savulca formasyonlarından elde edilen küçük memelilere dayalı olarak Geç Erken Miyosen ve Kuvaterner olarak yaşlandırılmıştır. Söke Formasyonu'na ait Söke faunası ve Dededağ Formasyonu'na ait Dededağ faunası Orleaniyen (Geç Erken Miyosen) yaşlıdır ve MN4 memeli zonuyla korele edilebilir. Savulca Formasyonu'ndan elde edilen Kemalpaşa' Mahallesi-I faunası Erken Bihariyen (Erken Pleyistosen), Kemalpaşa Mahallesi-II faunası Toringiyen (Orta-Geç Pleyistosen) ve Burçaktepe faunası ise Geç Erken Bihariyen-Güncel olarak yaşlandırılmışlardır. Söke faunasında yeni bir tür -Albertona aegeensis - tanımlanmıştır.

The Late Cenozoic sediments in the surroundings of Söke are assigned to the Late Early Miocene and Quaternary on the basis of small mammals from the Söke, Dededağ and Savulca formations. The Söke fauna from the Söke Formation and the Dededağ fauna from the Dededağ Formation are correlated with the Orleanian (Late Early Miocene) and the MN4 mammal zone. The Kemalpaşa Mahallesi-I and the Kemalpaşa Mahallesi-II faunules from the Savulca Formation suggest Early Biharian (Early Pleistocene) and Toringian (Middle-Late Pleistocene) ages, respectively. The Burçaktepe fauna indicates a Late Early Biharian-Recent age. In the Söke fauna, anew species-Albertona aegeensis-is described.
