İntihar girişimi ile acil servise başvuran hastaların sosyal destek ve stresle baş etme durumları

Abstract

Amaç: Acil servise intihar girişimi ile gelen hastaların algıladıkları sosyal destek düzeyleri ve stresle baş etme durum-larını belirlemektir, yöntem: 01 Ocak - 31 Mart 2002 tarihlerinde intihar girişimi ile acil servise başvuran, çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 23 hasta ile acil tedavi ve bakımları yapıldıktan sonra ilk 24 saatte bir psikiyatri hemşiresi yüz yüze görüşmüştür. Hastaları araştırma hakkında bilgilendirildikten sonra çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden hastalara Bilgi Formu, Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği ve Stresle Başa Çıkma Tarzları Ölçeği uygulanarak veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler kodlanarak SPSS 8.0 programı ile bilgisayarda değerlendirilmiş, istatistiksel değerlendirmede Pearson Korelasyon Analizi, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar: intihar girişiminde bulunan bireylerin yaşlarının 17-41 arasında değiştiği, yaş ortalamasının 21.69±6.84 olduğu, çoğunluğunun 15-19 yaş grubunda (%57), kadın (%87) ve bekar (%74), kayıp yaşantısı (%43), daha önce intihar girişimi öyküsü (%39), intihar girişim nedeninin ruhsal sıkıntı (%60) olduğu, intihar düşüncesinin devam ettiği (%22), stresle baş etmede çaresiz yaklaşımı daha fazla kullandıkları, ailesi ile birlikte yaşayanlarda özel birisinin desteğinin yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Tartışma: Bu çalışmanın sonuçları intihar girişimi olan bireylerin ruhsal sıkıntı ve stresle baş etmede güçlük yaşadıklarını, sosyal desteklerinin orta düzeyde olduğunu göstermiştir.

Objective: The determination of level of social support and coping with stress in patients who were accepted to emergency room with suicide effort. Method: A nurse of psychiatry was interviewed face to face with the patient who was accepted to the emergency room with suicide enterprise. After being done of urgent care and treatment of 23 patients applied to the emergency room and accepted to participate to this study between January 1 'st and 31 March 2002, a psychiatric nurse has interviewed face to face with them, bata were collected from patients who were accepted to participate after acknowledgement about this study with the use of knowledge form, the scale of social support that perceived and scale of coping with methods. Collected data were processed with SPSS 8.0 program in the computer and Pearson Correlation Analysis, Kruskall-Wallis, and Mann Whitney U tests were used in procession. Results: The age of patients varied between 17 to 41. The average of the ages was 21.69±6.84 and majority were 15-19 age group (57%),women (87%) and single (74%), life of lost (43%), suicide history (39%), the reason of suicide was anxiety (60%), continued suicide.plans (22%) the used of the route of helpless was high and the patients living with their family a special support was high. Conclusion: The results of this study have shown that the patients who tried to suicide were living in difficulty to cope with stress and anxiety and their social support was low.
