Toplumsal Değişim ve Eğitim Üzerine

Abstract

Bu makalede toplum, toplumsal değişme ve eğitim olguları genel anlamlarıyla ele alınmış olup, farklı düşünürlerin konuyla ilgili görüşleri arasından bir senteze ulaşılacak kavramlar açıklanmış ve bunlar arasındaki ilişkiler belirtilmeye çalışılmıştır. Özellikle toplumsal değişme ve eğitim ilişkisi ele alınmış ve bu bağlamda başlıca eğitim akımlarının (Essentialism, Perennialism, progressivism, Reconstructionism) toplumsal değişme ilişkileri özetlenmiştir. Toplumsal değişme ve eğitim ilişkisi incelenirken, Osmanlı' da ve Cumhuriyet döneminde toplumsal yapı farklılıkları dikkate alınarak bu yapılar içerisinde eğitim ve değişim ilişkilerinin özellikleri belirtilmeye çalışılmıştır.

This paper deals with the general meanings of society, social change and education and tries to reach a synthesis by taking into account different scholar's views in relation to the subject. This paper also aims to explain what relation exist between these notions. Especially the relationship between social change and education was explained in the light of important approaches of education such as Essentialism, Perennialism, Progressivism, Reconstructionism. While the relationship between social change and education was examined, we also took into account different social structures of Ottoman Empire and the Turkish Republic and tried to stress the features of the relationships between education and social change in these two different social structures.
