İnsanın Kültür Varlığı

Abstract

İnsanın bir kültür varlığı olduğu tartışılmaz bir olgudur ama bu, 'insan doğası' adlandırmasıyla birleştirilince, karşıt savların yer aldığı bir konuya dönüşür. İnsanın doğal evriminin uzun süreci, bununla eşzamanlı kültürel evrim süreci ele alınmadıkça kavranamaz. Bazı antropologların 'doğa-yetiştirme' tartışması olarak basitleştirdikleri konu, yalnızca karşıtların birliği kavrayışını değil, bütünlük oluşturan çok çeşitli etkileşimlerin değerlendirilmesini gerektiren bir olgudur. İnsan hem değişmez bir özü hem de kendisinin yarattığı ve yön verdiği ufukların ötesine bakma yeteneğini serimleyen ve anlamlandıran paradoksal bir varlıktır. İnsanoluşta nedensel ve ereksel süreçler aporetik biçimde iç içe geçmiştir. Bu sorun, tüm makul çözüm girişimlerinden sonra gene de çözülmemiş bir artık (tortu) bırakmaktadır. Durum belki en iyi şekilde, sonuna kadar belirlenmemiş sınırlarda anlamlar yaratma olarak tanımlanabilir.

That the human is a cultural being is an uncontestable fact, but combined with the connotation of 'human nature' it becomes a controversial issue. The long process of natural evolution of the human is impossible to be conceived without the simultaneous process of cultural evolution. Simplified as 'nature-nurture' controversy by some anthropologists, it is a complex phenomenon to be evaluated not merely by the concept of the unity of opposites, but rather by the interaction of multiple facters constituting a whole. The human is a paradoxical being exhibiting and signifying both an unchanging essence and a capacity to look beyond self-created and self-directed horizons. In being human the causal and the purposive processes are interwoven aporetically, which, after all attempts for a reasonable solution, still leave an unsolved rest. This may perhaps be best defined as the creation of meanings without determinate bounds.
