25 yaş altı genç erişkinlerde dil kanseri: 2 hastaya ait gözlemlerimiz

Abstract

Skuamoz hücreli dil kanseri; genç hastalarda yaşlı hastalara göre farklı etyolojik, onkolojik ve klinik özellikler göstermektedir. Klinik gözlemler, dil kanserinin genç hastalarda yaşlı hastalarla karşılaştırıldığında, daha agresif seyrettiği ve sağkalımın daha kötü olduğu yönündedir. Bu makalede 20 ve 22 yaşında iki hastaya ait gözlemlerimiz sunulmuştur. Her iki hastamızda da primer tümöre ve boyuna agresif tedaviler uygulanmıştır. Bir hastamız postoperatif 11.ayda primer nüks sebebiyle kaybedilirken diğer hastamız postoperatif 14. ayda nükssüz olarak takip edilmektedir. Her iki hastamızda da p53, p21 ve p27 negatif bulunmuştur. Klinik gözlemlerimiz literatür bilgileri ışığında tartışılmıştır.

Squmamous cell carcinomas of the oral tongue have different etiologic, oncologic and clinical spesifications in young adults than older patients. Clinical observations indicate that tongue cancers in young adults are more agressive and have worse prognosis than in older patients. In this study, observations for two patients, 20 and 22 years of age are presented. Both patients underwent an agressive therapy for the primary tumor and neck. One patient died in the postoperative 11th month, because of primary reccurence and the other one is under control without any reccurence in the 14th postoperative month. Tumors of both patients were negative for p53, p21, p27. Our clinical observations are presented and discussed in the light of current literature.
