Yalıtık orbita kist hidatik

Abstract

Proptozise neden olan, kon içi yerleşimli, yalıtık orbita kist hidatik olgusunu değerlendirmek. Sağ proptozis nedeniyle başvuran, 12 yaşındaki kız çocuğunda, orbita manyetik rezonans (MR), komputerize tomografi (CT) ve ultrasonografi (USG) görüntülemede alt rektus ile optik sinir arasında yer alan, iyi sınırlı kistik kütle tespit edildi. Kist total olarak çıkarıldıktan sonra yapılan makroskopik ve histopatolojik inceleme ile kist hidatik tanısı kondu. Yalıtık orbita kist hidatik nadir görülmekle birlikte, proptozis ile gelen olgularda tanı da düşünülmelidir.

To investigate isolated orbital hydatid cyst causing proptosis located in intraconal space. In a 12-years-old girl coming because or right proptosis, a focal well circumscribed, purely cystic mass in intraconal space between the inferior rectus muscle and the optic nerve was determined with magnetic resonance (MR), computed tomographic (CT) and ultrasonography (USG) imaging. The cyst was completely extirpated, the gross and histopathological examination of the specimen confirmed the diagnosis of hydatid cyst. However, isolated orbital hydatid cyst is rarely seen, it should be considered in differential diagnosis of cases presenting with massive proptosis.
