dc.description.abstractAraştırma Sivas il merkezinde Öğretmenler İlköğretim Okulu'ndaki öğrencilerin boy ve ağırlık durumlarını belirlemek amacı ile kesitsel olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya 234 öğrencinin tamamı alınmış veriler 2005 Mayıs ayında toplanmıştır. Öğrencilere araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan soru formu uygulanmış, boy ve ağırlık ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin yaşları 7 ile 15 arasında, %50.9'u kız, %78.6'sının aile tipi çekirdek, %85'i bir sosyal güvenceye sahip, %34.6'sı kirada oturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin çoğunluğu ilk ve ortaokul mezunu, %69.2'sinin ailesi 4-5 kişiden oluşmakta, %23.9'unun ailesinde ise altı ve daha fazla sayıda kişi yaşamaktadır. Annelerin çoğunluğu ev hanımı, babaların çoğunluğu sürekli gelir getiren bir işe sahip olup, %11.5'i işsizdir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin %5.9'unun kısa boylu, %5.9'unun zayıf, %2.2'sinin ise şişman olduğu bulunmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis is a cross-sectional study performed in May 2005 to determine the height and weight status of the students in Öğretmenler Primary School in Sivas city centre. It includes all the 234 students of the school. A questionnaire designed by the researchers was applied and height and weight measurements were made. The ages of the students ranged from 7 to 15; 50.9% were girls; 78.6% lived in nuclear families; 85% had social security and 34.6% lived on rent. The majority of their parents were primary or secondary school graduates. 69.2% of the students had families consisting of four or five people; 23.9% of the families consisted of six or more. Most of the mothers were housewives. The majority of the fathers had regular income but 11.5% were unemployed. It was found that 5.9% of the students were short, 5.9% were thin and 2.2% were overweight.en_US
