İlişki katsayıları ile öğrenci başarısını etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; değişkenler arasında ilişkiyi belirleyebilen ki kare testi ile ilişkinin yönünü ve ilişkinin derecesini belirleyebilen ilişki katsayıları üzerinde durulmuştur. Ki kare testinin dezavantajlarını giderebilecek ki kare kökenli ve tahmin hatasını azaltmaya dayalı ilişki katsayılarının yanı sıra ordinal (sıralayıcı) ölçekli ilişki katsayıları ve eta katsayısı da anlatılmıştır. Uygulama olarak Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesinin öğrencilerinin başarılarını etkileyen faktörler incelenmiştir. Öğrencilere ilişkin değişkenlerin boyutları ve ölçüm düzeyleri dikkate alınarak ilişki katsayıları belirlenmiştir. Bu ilişki katsayıları ile öğrencinin başarısını etkileyebileceği düşünülen faktörlerin, öğrencinin başarısını etkileyip etkilemediği, eğer etkiliyorsa, etkilemenin derecesinin ve yönünün ne olduğu belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

In this study, the Chi Square that is used to determine whether there is a relationship between variables and the co-efficiency of relationship (association measures) that is used to determine if there is a direction and a degree will be emphasized. Moreover, decreasing the prediction mistakes and the relationship co-efficiencies with ordinal co-efficiencies and the scalar co-efficiencies with Eta co-efficiencies will be analyzed. The factors which affect the achievement of the students of the Faculty of Economical and Administrative Sciences, Cumhuriyet University were analyzed for this study. The relation co-efficiencies were determined by considering measurement levels and all the variations related to the students. Furthermore, it is determined whether the factors, what are considered to affect achievement of the students, affect the variations and the dosage of the effects and the direction of the effect.
