OKUL DENEYİMİ DERSİ ÖĞRETİM PROGRAMININ ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ GÖRÜİLERİNE GÖRE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ VE ALTERNATİF PROGRAM ÖNERİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Okul Deneyimi Dersi Öğretim Programı’nın bu dersi daha önce almış ve halen öğrenimlerine devam eden öğretmen adaylarının görüşlerinden yararlanılarak değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla eğitim programının temel özellikleri olan uygulanabilirlik, izlenebilirlik, amaca görelik, esneklik, bağdaşımcılık, işlevsellik özellikleri ölçüt olarak alınmıştır. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımıyla gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunun oluşturulmasında maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesine gidilmiş ve Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde “Okul Deneyimi” dersi almış, son sınıfta öğrenimlerine devam eden okul öncesi öğretmenliği bölümünden altı, sınıf öğretmenliği bölümünden beş, sosyal bilgiler öğretmenliği bölümünden beş, fen bilgisi öğretmenliği bölümünden on olmak üzere toplam yirmi altı öğretmen adayının görüşleri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla alınmış ve toplanan veriler betimsel analizle çözümlenmiştir. Sonuçta programın, uygulanabilirliğini, izlenebilirliğini, esnekliğini, amaca göreliğini ve teorik bilgilerle ilişkilendirilmesini olumsuz yönde etkileyen bir takım etkenlerin olduğu ortaya konulmuş, programın öğretmen adaylarınca bazı koşullar altında işlevsel olarak değerlendirildiği tespit edilmiş ve okul deneyimi dersine ilişkin alternatif bir program önerisinde bulunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the School Experience program based on the views of the teacher candidates who have already taken this course and who are currently enrolled to the course. With this in mind, the program was evaluated in terms of practicality, traceability, goal-orientedness, flexibility, coherence and functionality. With qualitative research approach, the interview technique was used to collect data, maximum variety sampling method was used to form the study group and the views of a total of 26 teacher candidates were taken via a semi-structured interview form. Teacher candidates who have already taken the “School Experience” course at the Faculty of Education, Cumhuriyet University and 6 senior students from pre-school education department, five seniors from elementary education department, five senior students at social studies education department and ten students from science education department at the same faculty were interviewed and data collected were analyzed with descriptive analysis. As a result, it was revealed that there were some factors that negatively affects the relation of the practicality, traceability, flexibility, goal-orientedness of the program with theoretical knowledge and that they assessed that they found the program to be functional under some conditions. Finally, an alternative program was proposed for the school experience course.
