Türkiye'de Hemşirelik Bakım Algısının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Giriş ve Amaç: Bakım kalitesinin değerlendirilmesinde en önemli göstergelerden biri hastanın verilen bakım hizmetine yönelik memnuniyetidir. Araştırma, ülkemizde hemşirelik bakımının hastalar tarafından nasıl algılandığının belirlenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır.Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı türde olan araştırma yedi coğrafi bölge kapsamında her bölgeden ikişer ilden seçilen 15 hastanede yatarak tedavi gören 2272 hastadan oluşan örneklem grubu ile çok merkezli olarak yürütülmüştür. Veriler, Hasta Tanıtım Formu ve Hemşirelik Bakımı Algılayış Ölçeği ile elde edilmiştir.Bulgular: Araştırmada hastaların yaş ortalaması 50,27±18,26 ve Hemşirelik Bakımını Algılayışları Ölçeği puan ortalaması 60,44±9,41 bulunmuştur. En yüksek puan verilen maddeler "Hemşirelerin sayesinde iyi bakıldığımı hissettim" ve "İhtiyacım olduğunda yanımda olacaklarından eminim" olmuştur. En düşük puan verilen madde "Hastaneyle ilgili bilmediğim şeyler hakkında bana bilgi verdiler" ifadesidir. Kronik hastalığı olanların, hastaneyi tekrar tercih edeceklerin, üç ve daha fazla kez hastanede yatanların, lise eğitiminden düşük eğitim düzeyine sahip olanların, tek kişilik odada kalanların, kırsalda yaşayanların ve hastanede yatış süresi 31 günden uzun olanların Hemşirelik Bakımını Algılayışları Ölçeği toplam puanlarının anlamlı şekilde yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Araştırma bulgularına göre hastaların hemşireye güven duyma boyutunda hemşirelik bakım algısı olumludur. Bakım algısını olumsuz etkileyen yüksek hasta/hemşire oranı, çok kişilik hasta odalarında iyileştirmeler yapılmalıdır.

Introduction and Objective: One of the most important indicators in assessing quality of care is the satisfaction given to the patient with the care. This research was conducted with the aim of determining how nursing care is perceived by patients in our country.Methods: This descriptive multi-centeredstudy was carried out with a sample group of 2272 patients receiving inpatient treatment in 15 outpatient hospitals within seven geographic regions with two in each region. Data was obtained with the Patient Presentation Form and the Nursing Care Perception Scale.Results: The mean age of patients was 50.27±18.26 and the mean score of Nursing Care Perceptions Scale was 60.44±9.41. The highest rated items were "I felt I was well taken care of by the nurses" and "I'm sure they would be there when I needed them". The lowest rated item was "They informed me about things I do not know about the hospital". It was found that a significantly higher total score of Nursing Care Perceptions Scale was measured for patients having chronic illnesses, for those who were three or more times hospitalized, or more likely to prefer the hospital again, who had education lower than upper secondary level, who stayed longer than 31 days in the hospital, those living in rural areas, and for patients who stay in single rooms.Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, nursing care perception regarding patients' confidence in nursing care was positive. The high patient/nurse ratio and multi-person patient rooms, that effect the perception of care adversely, should be improved.
