Türk dİn Sosyolojİsİnİn temel Sorunları: lİsansüstü tezler Bağlamında eleştİrel Bİr yaklaşım -Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Örneği

Abstract

Bu makale Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi örnekleminde din sosyolojisi anabilim dalına bağlı olarak tamamlanmış lisansüstü tezlerin konu, metot ve kuram açısından bir eleştirisini içermektedir. Dolayısıyla araştırma Türk din sosyolojisinin bu anlamdaki sorunlarının anlaşılmasına pratik bir örneklemden hareketle katkı yapmayı hedeflemiştir. Araştırmaya konu olan tezler özellikle son yıllarda konu bakımından bir zenginleşme içine girmişse de bu konuda özgün ve sistematik bir yaklaşım göze çarpmış değildir. Neredeyse tamamen ampirik olarak planlanmış bu çalışmalar birer özel din sosyolojisi çalışması olmuştur. Öte yandan söz konusu lisansüstü tezler metodoloji ve kuramsal yaklaşımlar bakımından da çok önemli sorunlarla karşı karşıyadır. Bu çerçevede Batı'nın kendi toplumsal koşullarında olgusallaştırdığı bir problemi, metodu ve kuramsal yaklaşımı kendi toplumunu açıklamak üzere taklit etmesi bir tarafa, tezlerde araştırma süreçleriyle ilgili bir özenin olmaması daha dikkat çekici olmuştur. Bu sebeple tezler genel olarak araştırılan toplumla ilgisi olmayan, tarihsel, sosyolojik ve felsefi arka planı bulunmayan bir fotoğraf ortaya koymuştur. Bu durum iki sorunu gün yüzüne çıkarmıştır. Bunlardan biri tezlerin bugüne kadar görgül bir zenginlik dışında alanın birikiminden geçinmeye devam etmesi, diğeri ise anlamı iyice daraltılmış kavramların bu haliyle entelektüel bir katkıyı sağlamaktan oldukça uzak olmasıdır.

This article contains a critique of subject, method and theory of postgraduate dissertations completed that depending on the discipline of sociology of religion in the case of Cumhuriyet University. Therefore, this research aimed to contribute to the understanding of the problems of Turkish sociology of religion in this sense by acting from a practical example. An original and systematic approach to this issue has not been struck although the theses subject to the research have particularly been enriched in the subject in recent years. Almost entirely empirically planned, these studies have been a work of special religious sociology. On the other hand, the aforementioned postgraduate dissertations also face to face very important problems in terms of methodology and theoretical approaches. It is more noteworthy that there is no attention to the research processes in the theses while it is in this context that the West imitates a problem, method, and theoretical approach which it realizes in its own social conditions to explain its own society. Therefore, the theses generally produce a photograph which is unrelated to the societies being searched, and which does not have historical, sociological and philosophical background. This situation has brought to light two problems. One of them is an empirical thesis continues to subsist as from the accumulation of wealth out of the field, the other with concepts thoroughly collapsed that it is quite far from the meaning of an intellectual contribution.
