HALK HEKİMLİĞİ VE TAMAMLAYICI ALTERNATİF TIP ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Abstract

Bu çalışmada halk hekimliğinin gelişimi, özellikleri, toplum içindeki yeri özetlenerek, halk hekimliğinin folklorik bir zenginlik olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Halk hekimliğinin devamı niteliğindeki alternatif tıp ve tamamlayıcı alternatif tıp kavramlarının önemi, yaygınlığı, ekonomik boyutu değerlendirilmiştir. Medya ve iletişim araçlarının alternatif tedavilerin yaygınlaştırılmasında etkili olduğundan söz edilmiştir. Alternatif tıbbın, önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olduğu; bilimsel tıbbın bütün birikim ve olanaklarının kullanılmasının önemine değinilmiştir.

In this study, the development, characteristics and the place of traditional medicine in the society are summarized and the folkloric richness of traditional medicine is stressed. As the continuation of traditional medicine, complementary alternative medicine is also described and the importance, prevalence and economical dimension of the topic are discussed. The eff ect of media and communication tools on the popularity of alternative treatments is also discussed. Alternative medicine is regarded as an important public health problem and the importance of adopting the accumulation and opportunities of modern medicine is stressed.
