OSMANLI DEVLETİ'NİN SON DÖNEMİNDE POSTA GÜVERCİNLERİ

Abstract

Güvercinlerin haberleşmede kullanımı çok eski tarihlere dayanmaktadır. "Posta Erleri", "İlk Hava Postacıları" gibi adlarla anılan posta güvercinleri özellikle insanlığın teknoloji ile tanışmadığı dönemlerde etkin olarak kullanılmıştır. Hafıza ve görüş özellikleri ön planda olan güvercinlerin en dikkat çekici taraflarından bir diğeri yuvalarına bağlılıkları ile boğazlarına olan düşkünlükleridir. Bu yanları güvercinlerin talim ve terbiyesine kolaylık sağlamıştır. Zaman içerisinde ticaretten askeriyeye çok farklı alanlarda istihdam edilmişlerdir. 1870 yılındaki Alman-Fransız savaşında Almanlar tarafından kuşatılan Paris'in dışarıyla bağlantısını sağlayan posta güvercinleri diğer devletlerin de dikkatini çekmiş ve onlar da özellikle askeriye içerisinde posta güvercini istihdamına büyük önem vermişlerdir. 19.yüzyılın ikinci yarısında kaydedilen bu gelişmelere Osmanlı Devleti de kayıtsız kalmamıştır. Araştırmada, posta güvercinlerinin özelliklerine yer verilerek, talim ve terbiyesi ile birlikte Osmanlı Devleti'ndeki kullanımı üzerinde durulmaktadır.

Using of the pigeons had very old history. The post pigeons called as "Post Men", "The First Air Postmen" especially used in the time in which the people had not become acquainted with technology. One of the most interesting aspects of the the pigeons whose memory and property of sights in the front plan is also their loyalty of their homes and addiction of feeding. These properties convenience their education and edifying. In the time, they employed in very different fields from trade to military. The post pigeons provided the connection of Paris where surrounded by the Germans in the Germany- France War in 1870 with the out attracted the attention of the other states and they attached important to the employing of post pigeons in the army. The Ottoman state were interested in these developments happened in the second half of the 19th century. In this investigation, the properties of the post pigeons, their education, edifying and the using in the Ottoman state were also dwelt on.
