Öğretmenlik Uygulaması Dersinde Ders İmecesi Modelinin Değerlendirilmesi: Sorunlar ve Çözüm Önerileri

Abstract

Ders imecesi, öğretmen ve öğretmen adaylarının mesleki gelişimlerinde kullanılan Uzakdoğu merkezli bir öğretmen eğitimi modelidir. Son yıllarda gittikçe artan bir şekilde dünyanın farklı ülkelerinde ve kültürlerinde uygulanmakta olan ve etkililiğiyle ilgili olumlu raporlar yayınlanan bu modelin öğretmen eğitimi sistemimiz içerisinde uygulanabilirliğinin belirlenmesi önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği Programındaki Öğretmenlik Uygulaması dersinde ders imecesi modeli uygulamaya konulmuş ve süreçte ortaya çıkan sorunlar incelenmiştir. Araştırma, dersi alan 26 öğretmen adayının katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri, adaylara yöneltilen açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan 4 maddelik görüş formundan ve araştırmacının alan notlarından elde edilmiştir. Veri analizi sonucunda genel olarak, öğrencilerin düşünme biçimlerinin tahmin edilmesi ve bunlara yönelik çözüm önerilerinin üretilmesinde, uygulama öğretmenlerinin sürece katılımlarında ve araştırma derslerinin etkililiğinin değerlendirilmesinde sorunlar yaşandığı belirlenmiştir. Yine araştırmanın bulguları, ders imecesi çalışma döngüsündeki planlama, araştırma dersi ve değerlendirme basamaklarına özgü çeşitli zorlukların ortaya çıktığını göstermiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, yaşanan bu zorluklarla ilgili araştırmacının alan notları ve adayların bu zorlukların çözümüne yönelik görüşleri temel alınarak ileride bu yönde yapılacak çalışmalar için çözüm önerileri ortaya konulmuştur.

The lesson study model is a Far Eastern teacher education approach used for professional development of teachers and for prospective teachers. This model has been increasingly implemented in many different countries and cultures all over the world and its effectiveness has been reported in a number of recent reports. Therefore, it is of importance to determine its applicability in our teacher education programs. In this study, the lesson study model has been implemented in Teaching Practice course, which is a part of elementary mathematics teacher education curriculum, and problems in its implementation have been discussed. The study was carried out with the participation of 26 prospective teachers. The study data were collected via 4-item opinion form composed of open-ended questions and field notes of the researcher were used as data. As a result of data analysis, it has been determined that problems were experienced in the prediction of learners’ thinking styles and in bringing solution suggestions, in mentor teacher’s involvement in the process and in the assessment of the effectiveness of research lessons. The results of the study indicate that various difficulties unique to planning, research lesson and evaluation stages of the lesson study cycle are experienced. In the conclusion part, solution suggestions for the problems have been made based on the researcher’s field notes and the opinions of the prospective teachers to contribute to further studies on this issue
