dc.description.abstractIn Turkey, legal arrangement studies pertaining to mental health issues are under development. However, right of maintaining a healthy life and protection and rehabilitation of disabled people have been included in and assured by many laws. Certain physicians and institutions have already been carrying on rehabilitation studies with their own initiatives. Psychosocial services in the mental health field have been provided in various provinces of Turkey. In this article, certain psychosocial services that have been carried out for years in the mental health field at Ankara University and at Ankara Mental Health outpatient clinics in Ankara, at Kocaeli University in Kocaeli province, and at Cumhuriyet University in Sivas province are summarized. © 2008 M.E.
