In this study, the antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of 120 P. aeruginosa strains isolated from various clinical specimens were investigated by disc diffusion and agar dilution methods. The most effective antimicrobial agent was imipenem (100%). The susceptibilities of 120 Pseudomonas strains to the antimicrobials by using disc diffusion and agar dilution tests were as follows; to amikacin 98.4%, 99.2%; to ciprofloxacin 96.6%, 98.4%; to aztreonam 85.9%, 91.7%; to piperacillin 75.0%, 80.8%; to tobramycin 69.2%, 70.9%; to mezlocillin 57.5%, 60.8%; to ceftriaxone 42.5%, 46.7%; to cefotaxime 8.3%, 13.3%, respectively.en_US
