Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a genetically transmitted disease resulting in fragility of the entire skeleton. The best results for stabilization of growing bone have been reported using telescoping rods according to Bailey and Dubow patient was 9 years old male. He had type I OI according to Sillence. Bilateral expanding intramedullary nail had applied in another hospital five years ago. The patient had right femur fracture because of fall. X-ray has demonstrated distal dislocation of the expanding nail and fracture. Distal piece of nail has been replacement for long size. Although The fracture had healed after 9 months, T-piece from a sleeve had been unscrewed in X-ray (Figure 3.). T-Piece has screwed by median parapatellar knee approach. Expanding intramedullary rods have a lot of complication as dislocation of nail and refracture. We suggest periodically follow up applied expanding intramedullary rod with X-ray to end of the adolescent age.en_US
