A practical study of the concept of organizational justice and organizational citizenship behavior
Abstract
Justice is a sociological and legal value necessary for the whole society and individuals. Each individual of the society should have equal rights and benefits from the process of justice. There cannot be any sociological order, peace and especially happiness in a society without justice. Justice is a value that should exist not only within societies, but also among individuals. The most important aspect of this is indicated by the sharing within organizations. An individual’s seeing himself/herself as part of an organization and his/her sense of belonging to that organization are the most important indicators that the organization acts in line with the principles of justice and equality. Organizational justice is the most important whole within enterprises’ and organizations’ conception of corporate identity within a sociological structure. The fact that the concept of organizational justice is inevitable for today’s organizations and communities constitutes one of its most important values. Organizational justice does not mean the protection of the concepts of individual benefit and interest, but it can be defined as the provision of a union of powers within the phenomenon of integrity. This practical study addresses the causalities of organizational citizenship behavior and concept of organizational justice. The data obtained from the study, which included 309 participants, were analyzed through the SPSS 18 statistical software, and reliability and validity were ensured. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was found to be 0.912. The study was enlarged through the application of Kruskal Wallis Test, ANOVA, Jonckheere-Terpstra Test and Independent Samples T-test. In consequence of the study, the importance of organizational justice was revealed through the 8 sub-dimensions obtained. © 2015 AENSI Publisher All rights reserved.
