Yeniçeltek Coal field in Suluova Region, Amasya, reserves amounting to 23 million tons overlying 400-500 m beneath the surface. Coal deposit ranging in thickness between 2 and 12 m. was affected by intensive tectonic movements and contains considerable percentage of methane gases. Yeniçeltek Coal Mine extracted by underground longwall mining method has generally high production cost. In this study, the analyses were made by changing face and panel length in order to decrease high level production cost and to determine optimum face and panel length.en_US
