Study of the Nd-YAG laser effectiveness for connection strength of titanium to porcelain [Porselen ile titanyumun baglanma dayanimina Nd-YAG lazerin etkinliginin incelenmesi]
Abstract
Objectives: To investigate bond strength between Estenia, is a kind of seromer has been increasingly used in dentistry, low fusing porcelain and titanium metal sub-structures after different surface treatments. Materials and Methods: In the present study, ISO9693:1999 standards 25×3×0.5m3 dimensions of the samples used prepared with titanium in the metal substructure. Metal sample surface blasting (n=12) and Nd-YAG laser with a blasting + laser (n=12) by application of the working groups were formed. Low-temperature materials as porcelain superstructure estenia seromer group size 8×3×3m3 metal substructure to be applied according to the instructions of the manufacturer. Later e×amples, universal testing device to determine the three-point transverse fracture resistance test was performed. Unit load application rate of 0.5 mm/min and the distance between the jaws adjusted to 20 mm. E×ample of porcelain metal sub-structure, divided into groups, the type of the current connection N/mm2 strength values were recorded. Mann-Whitney U test was used for the evaluation of the data obtained. Results: Titanium metal sub-structures in terms of strength of connection estenia material determined to be sufficient, can be a serious alternative to high temperature porcelains were detected. However, the Nd: YAG laser irradiation of titanium surface connection values were determined in a value increase, but statistically not significant. Conclusion: Blasting and sandblasting + samples compared to laser therapy, sand blasting + laser groups showed no statistically significant differences in terms of connection strength. (p>0.05).
