In this presented research, Sheep flocks in the Sivas city and around it were investigated in terms of foot diseases that predeterminent the barns where sheep were kept were checked twice a year, at the end of the pasture and at the end of the shelter period. Total 6327 sheeps that are different in consideration of age and weight are examined in terms of foot diseases between spring and autumn seasons in 2016. After the study, 1091 animals (%17.24) came down with foot disease. Approximately %67.74 of the animals that were diagnosed with foot lesion in each season became sick of nail deformation, %16,13 of them had piyeten, %12.46 of them had interdigital dermatitis and %3.67 of them had sinusitis interdigitalis. It was observed that while %62.88 of lesions occur in forelegs, the other %37.12 of lesions occur in hind legs. Foot lesions were seen to be more common in females than males. In conclusion, breeders should be informed about housing conditions, soil structure, caring, feeding and nail care in order to prevent foot diseases. Therefore, it is determined that animal breeding will contribute to both the region and the country. © 2016 Ataturk Universitesi. All rights reserved.en_US
