dc.description.abstractA theoretical study of the effects of non-resonant intense laser field on the optical response in a Gaussian potential quantum well is performed in the framework of the effective mass approximation. The obtained results indicate that, the depth and range of the considered confinement potential and intense laser field intensity has a significant effect on the optical properties in Gaussian potential quantum wells. Also it was found that the laser field is more effective on the optical response in Gaussian potential quantum wells with smaller range.en_US
