The right testes of 30 male mice were 360° twisted and fixed on the scrotum. The aim of this research was to investigate the morphological effects of this process on both testes (twisted and the other)of the Mus musculus species mice. Testis tissues of both experimental and control mice were examined by histological methods using both light and electron microscope. The results of the histological examination of the control group were compared with those of left testis and twisted right testis of the experimental mice. In the experi¬mental group,we have observed reduction in the number of cells forming the tubulus seminiferus contortus(TSC) wall, weakening of intercellular junctional complexes and decrease in the amount of inclusions. Effects of the twisting process were apparent on the organelles and inclusions of the Leydig cells. We have also observed changes in the structures and amount of spermatid and spermato¬zoa in the TSC. The structural and functional changes in both testes caused by unilateral to sion were discussed in the light of the available litera¬ture.en_US
