Baldırzâde Mehmed Efendi’nin Fezâil-i Haremeyn adlı eseri (İnceleme-metin)

Baldırzâde Mehmed Efendi, XVI. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında Bursa'da dünyaya geldi. Doğum tarihi kesin olmayan Baldırzâde'nin 1650'li yıllardan sonra doğduğu tahmin edilmektedir. Osmanlı ilmiye sınıfına mensup olan müellif, İstanbul ve Bursa'daki önemli medreselerde müderrislik görevlerini yerine getirdi. Bildiğimiz kadarıyla 12 tane eseri bulunmaktadır. Bu eserler birbirinden farklı alanlarda yazılmış ve bu durumdan ötürü çağdaşları tarafındanda takdir toplamıştır. Çalışmamızın konusunu oluşturan Fezâil-i Haremeyn adlı eseri Mekke ve Medine tarihi üzerine yazdığı eserler arasındadır. Bu eseri Mekke'ye kadılık vazifesi ile gönderildiği yıllarda kaleme almıştır. Mekke'de bir yıl kadılık görevi yürüten müellif, görevinin bitiminden sonra da bir süre burada kalmıştır. Eserinde Mekke ve Medine ile alakalı geçmişten ve kendi döneminden önemli bilgiler mevcuttur. Farklı alanlarda ön plana çıkan Baldırzâde, bu eserinde kullandığı kaynaklara ve anlattığı olaylara hakimiyeti ile tarihçiliğini de ispatlamaktadır. Eserde, Kâbe'nin tarih boyunca inşa süreçlerinden, gördüğü önemli tamirlerden bahsetmekle birlikte İslam tarihinin ilk dönemlerindeki mekanları ve bazı olayları da anlatma gayreti içerisindedir. Aynı zamanda Haremeyn'in ziyaret edilmesi gereken yerlerinden, ziyaret esnasında uyulması gereken kurallardan da uzun uzun bahseden Baldırzâde, rehber kitap özelliği taşıyan bir eser meydana getirmiştir. Baldırzâde Mehmed Efendi was born in Bursa in the second half of the 16th century. It is estimated that Baldırzâde, whose date of birth is uncertain, was born after the 1650s. The author, who was a member of the Ottoman ilmiye class, fulfilled his duties as a professor in important madrasahs in Istanbul and Bursa. As far as we know, he has 12 works. These works were written in different fields and were appreciated by their contemporaries because of this situation. His work called Fezâil-i Haremeyn, which is the subject of our study, is among the works he wrote on the history of Mecca and Medina. He wrote this work in the years when he was sent to Mecca as a judge. The author, who served as a judge for one year in Mecca, remained here for a while after the end of his duty. In his work, there is important information about Mecca and Medina from the past and his own period. Baldırzâde, who comes to the fore in different fields, also proves his historiography with his command of the sources he uses and the events he tells in this work. In the work, while talking about the construction processes of the Kaaba and the important repairs it has seen throughout history, it also tries to explain the places and some events in the early periods of Islamic history. At the same time, Baldırzâde, who talked at length about the places to visit in Haremeyn and the rules to be followed during the visit, has created a work that has the feature of a guide book.
