Dr. Fevzi BARDAKÇI Dişli sazancıklar olan Aphanius cinsi, Tetis Denizi kıyısı boyunca yayılış gösteren ortak bir atadan evrimleştiği öne sürülen, bir Tetis reliktidir. Aphanius'xm farklılaşma merkezinin Türkiye olduğu ileri sürülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Orta Anadolu Aphanius populasyonlan arasındaki genetik akrabalık ve Anadolu'nun jeolojik tarihiyle ilişkisini araştırmaktır. AFLP verilerinin hem fenetik hem de kladistik analizleri yapıldı. Her iki analizde de Aphaniwfun Orta Anadolu'daki tür ve alttürlerine karşılık gelen dört klad ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, her klad daha önce hîbrîlleme, mîtokondrî T5NA ve TtAFD veri analizlerinden elde edilen sonuçlan destekleyerek, Orta Anadolu'da Aphanius'vxx türleşmesinde rolü olduğu gösterilen her bir jeolojik kıtayla sınırlanmıştır. dc.description.abstract11 SUMMARY MsC Thesis Detection of Nuclear DNÂ Variation in Central Anatolian Aphanius Nardo, 1827 Taxa (Pisces: Cyprinodonudae) using AFLP Markers Efkan BA?DA Cumhuriyet University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Biology Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Fevzi BARDAKÇI The killifish genus Aphanius is regarded as a Tethyan relicts whose members are thought to have evolved from a common ancestor distributed around the periphery of the Tethys Sea. It has been suggested that the center of diversity of Aphanius is Turkey. The aim of the present study is to investigate genetic relationships among Central Anatolian Aphanius populations and its relation with geological history of Anatolia. Both phenetic and cladistic analyzes of AFLP data was performed. Result of both analyzes revealed four clades corresponding to species and subspecies of Aphanius in Central Anatolia, In addition, each clade was restricted in each geological continent indicating its role in speciation of Aphanius in Central Anatolia, giving support to previous evidences obtained from hybridization, mitochondrial DNA and RAPD data analyzes.
