Özet
In this study, it is aimed to develop valid and reliable measurement tool fordetermining effectiveness of school. For this purpose, analysis is made on the validityand reliability of this scale. It is calculated that exploratory and confirmatory factoranalysis for validity of research as well as it is calculated that internal consistency ofCronbach’s Alpha for reliability of research. It is benefited from SPSS 18.00 and LISREL8.7 of package program in statistical operations of data. The study group consisted ofall the teachers working in 33 secondary schools in Erzincan city center in 2014-2015academic year. The exploratory factor analysis was applied to a total of 239 teachers. As a result of the analysis, the variance was determined as 66.27%. At the end of theanalysis, to 377 teachers from the same sample were applied to confirmatory factoranalysis. As a result of the analysis, the scale has been acceptable fit values (x² / sd(817.72 / 421 = 1.94, RMSEA = 0.05, GIF = 0.88, AGFI = 0.86, RMR = 0.084, CFI =0.98, NNFI = 0.98) and have been confirmed five factors structures. At the end of thestudy, the sub-dimensions were classified as principals, teachers, school environment, education process, students, school environment and parents. In the reliabilityanalysis, the Cronbach’s Alpha rate was determined to be 0.95. In conclusion, aneffective school scale consisting of 31 items and 5 dimensions can be accepted as areliable and valid scale.
