| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, henüz çok genç bir sanatsal form olan sinemanın kadim Doğu ve Batı geleneklerinin sanatsal mirası ile ilişkisini, Yeni İran Sineması örneğinden istifade ederek incelemektedir. İran sineması, hem Batılı modern sanat sinemasının teamülleri ile belirli bir uyum içindedir hem de zaman zaman bu teamülleri bilinçli bir şekilde dışarıda bırakarak ait olduğu kültürün estetik kodlarını referans almakta ve bu kültürel mirasın bütünlüklü bir temsilini sunmaktadır. Dolayısıyla Yeni İran Sineması Doğu'nun kültürel devamlılığını sağlamak için bir imkân olarak değerlendirilebileceği gibi, sinemanın Batı estetiğinin sınırları dışına taşan yepyeni olanaklar barındırdığını da işaret etmektedir. Bu bakımdan Yeni İran Sineması, sinemaya Doğulu ya da Batılı bir karakter kazandıran geleneksel bağları tahlil etmek için elverişli bir örnektir. Çalışmanın temel yaklaşımı, Yeni İran Sineması'nın başarısını Batılı kuramlar üzerinden açıklamaya odaklanan çalışmaların aksine, hem İran sinemasını hem de sinemanın bizatihi kendisini Doğu'nun estetik normları ile ilişkisi üzerinden okumaya ve anlamaya yönelmektir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the relationship between the artistic heritage of the ancient Eastern and Western traditions of cinema, which is a very young artistic form, by drawing advantage from the example of New Iranian Cinema. Iranian Cinema is both in a certain harmony with the customary practices of Western modern art cinema, and from time to time, deliberatively excludes these practices and takes the artistic codes of the culture it belongs as a reference, and offers a complete representation of this cultural heritage. Therefore, New Iranian Cinema, as it can be evaluated as an opportunity of maintaining cultural continuity of the East, and also, could indicate that the cinema accommodates entirely new opportunities which goes beyond the limits of Western aesthetics. From this point of view, New Iranian Cinema is a convenient exemplification for analyzing the traditional relations that gives cinema Eastern or Western character. Basic approach of this study is to read and understand both the Iranian cinema and cinema's per se, through its relationship with the aesthetic norms of the East, contrary to the studies which focuses to explain New Iranian Cinema success through Western theories. | en_US |
